Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s new film Bhoomi will release on 22 September this year. The film was earlier planned to release on 4 August.
However, the makers have shifted the release date to get more time to promote the film.
The new release date was confirmed by the film’s producers Bhushan Kumar and Sandeep Singh.
The film is an emotional drama that shows the relationship between a father and daughter.
The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Sidhant Gupta. It is directed by Omung Kumar, who has made successful films like Mary Kom and Sarabjit.
Bhoomi film will mark the return of Dutt to the film industry after his jail term. Dutt was last seen in 2014 in Aamir Khan’s successful film PK.

A criminal case has been registered against Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra by the Maharashtra Police.
The couple has been accused of cheating a textile company owner of Rs 24 lakh. The owner of Malotia Textiles claims that the couple sold the firm's bed sheets but did not pay him any money and kept all the profit with themselves.
The bed sheets were sold through a company named Big Deals and Shetty and Kundra are its directors. The police has started the investigation in the matter.

Model and actress Preeti Jain has been sentenced to three years' imprisonment for plotting to murder Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar 12 years ago.
The court later granted bail to all the three and suspended their sentences for four weeks, to enable them file appeals.
Lawyers for Bhandarkar say that Jain approached an associate of gangster Arun Gawli in 2005 saying she wanted to have Bhandarkar killed, and paid him Rs 75,000 for the job.
Before that, Jain had alleged that Bhandarkar had raped her many times after promising her a role in one of his films. Jain later demanded her money back from Pardeshi and others for not carrying out the assignment.
The police also received a tip-off about her attempt to hire gangsters to kill Bhandarkar. Jain has said that she has faith in the justice system and hopes to get justice from the high court.

SRK, who spoke at the event in Vancouver in Canada, did not just speak. He did the lungi dance and also shared many stories from his personal and professional life.
SRK's talk is being called one of the funniest as he has a great sense of humour and it was on full display. The audience at TED Talks could not get enough of him. Khan’s TED debut comes just before the ideas-sharing platform makes its TV debut in India.
There have been many rumours about the second part of the Hindi film ‘No Entry’ getting dropped.
No Entry is a 2005 comedy film that featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan.
The director of the film, Anees Bazmee and producer Boney Kapoor said the film’s second part ‘No Entry Mein Entry’ is being made.
Interestingly, the second part will feature Salman, Anil and Fardeen in double roles.
Right now, Salman is busy shooting for his new film Tiger Zinda Hai opposite Katrina Kaif. He will soon start the promotions of his upcoming film Tubelight which is directed by Kabir Khan.

Vinod Khanna, former superstar of Hindi cinema, died in Mumbai on Thursday. He was suffering from cancer of the bladder for years. Mr Khanna was 70 years old.
The funeral of the senior actor took place in Mumbai on the same day. His friends and colleagues from the film industry and politics were at his home to pay their last respects.
He was admitted at HN Reliance Hospital for close to a month. His condition had become stable after doctors put him on drip although he had become weak.
He worked in more than a 100 films, and was an active politician, and Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur in Punjab. Mr Khanna is survived by his wife and four children.
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was presented an award for his successful film Dangal at the 75th Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Awards function.
'It's a huge respect that we've got, Nitesh Tewari - the director of Dangal and me', said Aamir at the function which was held in Mumbai.
Aamir is known not to attend award functions since the last 15 years. In the past, Aamir had attended Oscars award function when his film Lagaan was selected in the foreign film category.

Famous badminton player Saina Nehwal’s life is being made into a film, that will be titled ‘Saina’. Nehwal is the former world number one badminton singles player who has won over 20 international titles.
Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor has been chosen to play the role of the badminton player. The actress will soon be seen in the film ‘Haseena’, where she plays Hasina Parkar, sister of underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim’, who ran his business in Mumbai after he fled India for Pakistan in 1992.
