Uber to test flying electric cars in US by 2020
Ridesharing company Uber has plans to introduce a system of flying cars to move people around cities in the US and UAE.
The company wants to develop Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) cabs to fulfil the dream of getting a ride with the push of a button.
It plans to partner with plane manufacturers to develop and test a network of flying electric cars by 2020.
Uber hopes the service will sooner or later cost about the same as its car rides.
The idea is to reduce pollution and travelling time, free up the space kept for parking cars and be able to move in all corners of the city.
