IIT professor wins prestigious Young Scientist Award 2017

Doctor Vikram Vishal works as a professor at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has made a discovery that can greatly reduce the air pollution in the country.

Vishal has been awarded the Indian National Science Academy medal for Young Scientist 2017 for his discovery.

Vishal has found a way to manage the pollution caused by the emission of carbon dioxide. This can be done by injecting the gas emissions into rocks where the gas will stay for several thousand years.

Natural gases remain trapped in rocks for millions of years and the same principle can be used to make earth pollution free.
