Having a dog may help lower stress in children
A recent study says that having a pet dog at home may help give valuable social support for children going through stress.
The study showed that children who actively played with their dogs had lower levels of stress as compared to children who engaged with their dogs less.
The research was done on 100 pet-owning families and studied children between the ages of seven and 12 years.
Another study showed that a family dog can help improve physical activity, movement skills, quality of life, emotional and social health for kids with disabilities.
