Google to make digital assistant available for iPhone users

Technology company Google has announced that it will make its digital assistant available on Apple’s iPhone devices soon.

The Google Assistant was started last year on Google’s own hardware. The digital assistant is already run on over 100 million devices supported by Google's Android OS.

Google Assistant is in tough competition with Amazon’s Alexa, Microsoft’s Cortana and Apple’s Siri, which are all voice-based digital assistant software.

The company also released new features for its smart speaker and home assistant called Google Home. Users will soon be able to make phone calls using the device.

It also announced that physical photo albums will be offered through its photo app Google Photos.
