Instagram dangerous for mental health of youngsters, says study
A new research in the United Kingdom says that Instagram has the most negative effect on the mental health and happiness of youngsters.
The study also found that YouTube, Twitter and Facebook have the most positive impact on their mental health.
More than a thousand people aged between 14 and 24 years were asked questions about YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter and if these social networks had an influence on their health and well-being.
The findings say that Snapchat and Instagram received the lowest scores in the survey as these sites increases body image worries among young people, which affects their sleep and puts them at risk to anxiety, depression and loneliness.
