SBI to appoint lesser staff this year due to union with associate banks
India’s largest bank State Bank of India - SBI may employ lesser number of employees in the current financial year 2017-18 as the bank has added thousands of staff members from its associate banks.
SBI's five associate banks such as State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala and State Bank of Travancore became a part of the main company in April. This has made SBI known among the world’s top 50 banks.
There will be no new clerical positions in SBI while there will be some recruitments for officers towards the end of the year, says the report.
