Kashish Queer Film Festival started in Mumbai to celebrate diversity
The eighth Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival was started in Mumbai with 147 movies from 45 countries across the world.
The idea is to use cinema to create awareness and celebrate the diversity of LGBTQ community.
Viewers will get also get a chance to watch 29 Indian movies made in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam in this year’s film festival.
The first movie featured in the film festival was Signature Move, which features Shabana Azmi. The event will end with the Indian gay romantic story LOEV on 28 May.
