Lata Mangeshkar praises Modi for naming bridge after Bhupen Hazarika

Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for naming India’s longest bridge, Dhola - Sadiya bridge of Assam after Bhupen Hazarika.

Bhupen Hazarika was an Indian playback singer, songwriter, musician, poet and filmmaker from Assam.

Lataji shared her happiness on PM Modi’s decision and appreciated Indian government for respecting Indian artists.

PM Modi opened the Dhola-Sadiya bridge over Brahmaputra river in Tinsukia district. The idea of the bridge is to connect and reduce travel time between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh by at least four hours and save money.
