Telangana chief minister declares his state to be India's richest
India’s youngest state, Telangana which completed its three years, is said to be the country’s richest state with a growth rate of 17.82%. On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh is still said to suffer due to division from Telangana.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced that the growth rate has been achieved due to proper policy planning, financial care and discipline.
He said that 35 welfare schemes of Rs 40,000 crore will be started to improve the lives of poor people in the state.
Rao has also announced two more welfare programmes. One is a monthly pension of Rs 1,000 for single women with no support, and the KCR Kit Scheme for looking after the health of pregnant women and newborns.
