Modi government's programmes to feature in NIT syllabus

The engineering syllabus of the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will soon introduce the programmes of the Modi government such as Swachh Bharat, Smart Cities, Jan Dhan, Make in India and Digital India, among others.

The NIT Council plans to launch a new course on the national schemes for all engineering branches. The idea is to create awareness among students about the engineering aspects involved in the national schemes and help students contribute to such nation-building programmes.

The Council suggests that the government’s cleanliness campaign Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Skill India, which aims to give industry-related skill training to youths, should be studied by all NIT students of different branches of engineering.
