Delhi NGO helps visually impaired students get writers for exams

Save the Quest, an NGO started by the ex-students of Delhi University provides writers for visually impaired students for their exams.

Blind students who need a scribe or writer can request for a scribe on the NGO website, email or call on the helpline number.

After the request for scribe is made, it is forwarded to the database of scribes. Once the scribe accepts the request, the details are sent to the blind student.

Then the visually impaired student meets the scribe for a written test. The scribes are also given ratings by the student based on writing speed, punctuality, reading and listening skills. Anyone can register as a scribe or request for one.

So far, the NGO has provided scribes to nearly 2,500 students and teachers.
