Salman's Tubelight may not release in Pakistan
There are a number of problems coming up in the way of the release of Salman Khan's film Tubelight in Pakistan on Eid.
There are two Pakistani films that are expected to release in the same period - Shor Sharaba and Yalghaar, and there are fears that their business will be threatened by Tubelight.
There are also reports that Tubelight's subject matter - the 1962 India-China War - is a problem. Also the price quoted by Yash Raj Films, who distribute the film abroad, is too high for Pakistani exhibitors. This could be a major loss as an estimated Rs 30-35 crore is likely to come in from the Pakistan box office.
Dangal was also not released in Pakistan, as Aamir Khan refused to remove a scene showing the Indian national anthem and flag. It has still become the highest-earning Indian film of all time.
