Yoga for the visually impaired children in Hyderabad school
Susheel Jain, a yoga teacher has started taking classes on Sunday for students of Devnar School for the blind in Hyderabad. The blind school is a learning and care centre that offers free English medium education from primary level to Class 12 for visually impaired students.
Susheel was motivated to start the weekly classes when he realised that there are no yoga teachers for visually impaired students as the job does not pay well.
The visually impaired students of the blind school are currently starting with basics of yoga, which includes breathing and meditation practices, simple yoga postures and others. Susheel plans to teach the visually impaired students step by step to help them understand and experience the positive effects of doing yoga.
