Xavier malware found in 800 apps in Google play store

Nearly 800 mobile apps in Google Play Store have been infected with an Android malware called ‘Xavier’, said global cyber security company Trend Micro. Xavier is a malicious program which steals and leaks a user’s information silently.

The malware is difficult to identify and it also has the ability to download and install other malicious codes and apps from a remote server.

It is suggested not to download and install apps from an unknown source. Be careful and read the reviews from other users who have downloaded the app. Updating the mobile devices will also help to keep malware away.
