Here's how to check if your Aadhaar is deactivated
If you have Aadhaar and haven’t used it for three continuous years, then it may become inactive, say the UIDAI helpline and officials at an Aadhaar enrollment centre.
It means if you haven’t linked Aadhaar to any bank account or to your PAN or used it for any other transaction, then it may have been deactivated.
Here is how you can check the Aadhaar status.
Go to the UIDAI website and under the Aadhaar services tab, click on the option ‘Verify Aadhaar Number’.
Now you will get a new page ‘Verify your Aadhaar’.
Enter your Aadhaar number and security code (captcha) to verify. If the green checkmark comes, it means your Aadhaar is active.
If your Aadhaar is deactivated, you should visit the nearest enrollment centre along with the required documents.
