Sleep well at night to avoid eating out of stress

A new study says that employees having a stressful workday have the habit to over-eat and have unhealthy food at dinner time.

The research was done on 235 IT workers and call-centre operators. It found that the bad eating patterns are used by such employees to reduce and control negative moods.

Researchers also found a simple and effective way to get rid of the bad eating patterns and that is ‘sleep’.

When the participants slept better the night before, they had the habit of eating better when they experienced stress at work the next day.

A good night’s sleep can make employees feel fresh and help them deal with stress at work the next day, which slowly will reduce the habit of unhealthy eating.
