Dangal becomes first Indian film to earn Rs 2000 crore

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s film Dangal has become the first Indian movie in the history to earn Rs 2000 crore at the global box office, says Forbes Magazine’s latest report.

Dangal is a sports drama based on the true story of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta and Babita.

The film on wrestling earned Rs. 2.5 crore on its 53rd day at the China box office to achieve the total of Rs. 2,000 crores.

Also, the film has become the fifth highest-grossing non-English film in the history, and the highest-grossing sports movie of 2017 at China box office.

Aamir who is currently filming for Thugs of Hindostan in Malta, will be next seen in the new film Secret Superstar alongside Zaira Wasim. Secret Superstar is set to release in theatres on 4 August.
