Ransomware attack on India’s largest shipping port

India became the target of the latest ransomware attack on Tuesday. The largest container port in India at Mumbai was found under attack by the 'Petya' ransomware.

There have been reports of several businesses being affected by the bad software across Europe and the US.

As per experts, 'Petya' ransomware is similar to WannaCry ransomware.

It gets control of a computer system and its important data and demands internet money from the owners to release the data.

The operations at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust had to be stopped after the software attack was detected.

This is affecting the incoming and outgoing cargo containers at the port.
