Youth4Jobs helps disabled find jobs by teaching them skills
The organization Youth4Jobs is helping thousands of disabled Indians become employable by teaching them required skills and finding them jobs that are suitable.
Of the approximately 60 million disabled people in India, only about 0.1% have been able to find jobs so far. Because of their limited education, they are unable to find jobs.
Based out of Hyderabad, Youth4Jobs is a skilling linked placement center for the disabled which was founded in 2007. It is providing training specially for the disabled to get jobs. Their aim is to provide livelihood options for the disabled so that they can lead a dignified life.
The youth mostly hail from rural areas and have little access to computer education. So they are taught basic computer skills and English, and those who are speech and hearing impaired youth are taught sign language.
