9 year old Indian boy finds new breed of jellyfish
Ishaan Abraham Pichamuthu, a 9 year old boy from Tamil Nadu, has discovered a new species of freshwater jellyfish.
His find will become the part of Animal Discoveries records by the Zoological Survey of India.
Ishaan was on a family trip to Kodaikanal lake when he saw the uncommon jellyfish. He collected a specimen and then tried to find more information about it.
Anna University in Chennai then studied the sample and found that it was a new type of jellyfish.
Freshwater jellyfish are very rare and quite different from the fish found in ocean and sea.
