Salman Khan's recent film Tubelight did not get as much as attention or profit as was expected from a Salman film.
Khan has a track record of making a lot of money at the box-office in India and abroad. But Tubelight did badly and the film's distributors have suffered heavy losses. Salman, who is also one of the producers of the film, has agreed to pay a refund. The amount he is likely to pay is about Rs 60 crore.
Tubelight, directed by Kabir Khan, is set against the backdrop of the 1962 India-China War with Salman playing the role of a man-child who goes to find his missing brother.
