BSNL to provide broadband at 1,000 Mbps speed
A new generation optical fibre-based technology has been launched on the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd network.
This will allow BSNL to provide broadband connection with download speed of up to 1,000 megabit per second.
The new technology will be used in 100 major cities, including state capitals, in the coming year. The project will be completed in three phases at the cost of 330 crore rupees.
At present, BSNL is providing broadband connections at the speed of 100 megabit per second on its network.
The new technology will also help in faster repair works in case fibres get damaged.
