Woman who inspired Akshay's new film isn't happy with the makers
Anita Bai Narre of a village in Madhya Pradesh became famous when she raised her voice against her husband and in-laws as they followed the age old practice of defecating outside in open areas and demanded the construction of a toilet in their house.
Akshay Kumar's new film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is based on Anita’s story. It will show Bhumi Pednekar playing the part of a wife who decides to leave her husband if she doesn’t get a toilet at their house.
However, the film is in news for all the legal troubles. Anita, the woman who inspired the film is demanding a share in the film’s earnings from the makers for featuring her story.
When the makers reached out to her with a certain amount of money, she wasn’t happy with their agreement.
Recently, a documentary filmmaker Praveen Vyas sent a legal notice to makers of the film claiming that the script has been copied from his documentary Manini.
