7 Mumbai students win international award in robotics

Seven students from Mumbai have won award at an international Challenge for designing a robot.

This was the first time that India participated in the Challenge which was an Olympics-style robotics competition.

The competition took place in USA from 16 July to 18 July and the seven students were selected from 100 applications.

The Indian team, called Team Neutrino created a robot that can separate pollutants from dirty water.

They want to use their project to create awareness about water conservation and clean water availability.

This was the first time that this challenge was opened to other countries to stress on the use of robotics to reduce, manage and recycle waste.
