Amitabh Bachchan thanks UNICEF for honouring his work for polio campaign
Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for the polio campaign in India, says he is lucky to be the top most influencer for the organisation.
A list shared by UNICEF ranked Bachchan's work among the top influencers for fight against polio in the country.
The 75-year-old actor has been supporting and promoting many health awareness programmes on MR (measles and rubella) vaccines, hepatitis B, anti-tuberculosis, diabetes and importantly the ‘Clean India’ initiative.
On the work front, Bachchan has completed the shooting for Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 (KBC 9). He recently shared on his blog that constant talking on KBC has left him with infected vocal cords, throat pain and swallowing issues. He is taking painkillers and antibiotics for the same.
He will be next seen with Rishi Kapoor in '102 Not Out' movie, in 'Thugs of Hindostan' film with Aamir Khan and in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Brahmastra'.
