Farhan Akhtar will make film on Para athlete Deepa Malik
Para athlete Deepa Malik is an inspiration to the world and her life will now be made into a movie.
Actor Farhan Akhtar and filmmaker Ritesh Sidhwani will produce a biopic on Deepa Malik. She is the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Paralympics.
The film team has started collecting data about Deepa’s life and shooting will begin in 2018.
The selection of an actor to play the role of Deepa will also be done soon.
Deepa has won 54 gold medals at the national level and 13 at international levels in swimming, javelin throw and shot put.
Deepa has spinal paralysis and moves on a wheelchair, that has not stopped her from being a winner and inspiration to others.
