Doordarshan to change its logo
Government of India’s broadcaster Doordarshan, DD, is planning to change its iconic logo.
Doordarshan is owned by the Broadcasting Ministry of India and has been using the same logo since 1959.
For the new logo, Doordarshan has asked the public for logo designs that can be submitted till 13 August 2017.
The logo entry that wins the contest will also win a cash prize of one lakh rupees.
The broadcaster is trying to come up with a new look to attract the younger generation of the country.
Doordarshan operates 23 channels across the country and a new look will help increase the income of the network.
