West Bengal starts app to report human trafficking

The National Anti-Trafficking Committee (NATC) has introduced a new mobile app to prevent human trafficking, especially of women and children.

The mobile app called NATC is already available in Google Play store and helps people register trafficking-related complaints.

As soon as a complaint is registered, it will be forwarded to the West Bengal Police and Crime Investigation Department - CID.

The app can also be used to register complaints about fake Facebook accounts, which are used to offer jobs and cheat innocent women.

Also, the app will act against social problems like child marriage and organ trafficking.

Human trafficking is the trade of humans for forced labour, sexual slavery, or sexual exploitation for the trafficker or others.
