Mobile app can improve students' academic performance, says study
A new study says that a mobile learning app which uses quizzes, push notifications, digital leaderboards and badges may have positive effects on the academic performance of students.
Researchers in Australia have developed the fully customizable app which allows teachers to ask multiple-choice questions based on the syllabus directly to their students’ devices. It helps students to be motivated and keeps them engaged with the course.
The study was done on 394 students who were selected to test the app. The research found that the tasks in the mobile learning app provide feedback, lets students to see how they are performing and achieve more marks in exams.
