Indian fish Ranguchapulu declared a rare fish in the world

A fish variety found in India has been declared as one of the rarest species of fish in the world.

'Rayichapalu' is mostly found in the waters of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and the Marine Living Resources Department, Andhra University has labelled it as rare.

Ranguchapulu a colourful fish, is around 97 mm in length and lives near the reefs. It is also called the Rayichapalu by the local fishermen.

As per the researchers, the fish has a unique colour pattern and size. The special specimen of the fish will be conserved at the Andhra University's Marine Resources Museum.
