Britannia to start Rs 1,000 crore food park in Maharashtra

Indian food company Britannia Industries Ltd (BIL) plans to start the largest food park in Ranjangaon, which is located in the Pune-Ahmednagar region in Maharashtra.

The company will invest Rs 1,000 crore in the food park to create food products over a two-year period.

The idea is to make the company less dependent on other manufacturing units for making its products.

The new manufacturing unit or food park will make products like biscuits, cake, rusks, flour and dairy products in the next one to two years.

It will give jobs to 3,000 people, and will be the first to have a combined dairy and flour mill.
