Here's how you can check if your PAN is active or not
More than 11 lakh PAN numbers have been found and deleted or de-activated by the officials in cases where multiple PANs were given to one person.
As per rule, a person cannot have more than one PAN, that is Permanent Account Number. If the person has more than one PAN, he will have to pay Rs 10,000 under section 272B of the Income-tax Act, 1961.
If a person has more than one PAN then he should immediately return the extra PAN card.

Enter your surname, name and date of birth along with your mobile number.
Enter the OTP, when you receive OTP on mobile.
Result page will show PAN and active/inactive status.
