Flipkart to sell renovated smartphones in India soon
Online shopping website Flipkart has plans to start selling old phones that have been fixed and renovated by Diwali this year.
The decision has been taken in view of the high rate of handset returns by the customers.
The recently implemented GST has also prompted the company to think of ways to make profit through other means.
As per reports, these refurbished smartphones will have limited warranty and will be sold at 60% to 75% of their original pricing. The company may also sell the phone through offline stores.
Flipkart’s rival company Amazon India had started selling used as well as refurbished smartphones in 2016.
