Sensory room for disabled children in Assam
The officials of Northeast Frontier Railway – NFR have opened the ‘Sensory Room’ for disabled children at the Sneha School area in Maligaon in Assam.
The Sneha School has been working since 2012 for disabled students. It has been running under the initiative of the Northeast Frontier Railway Women’s Welfare organisation.
The sensory room will provide special types of assistance to disabled children to improve their skills and education using different types of instruments like Cerebral Palsy chairs, standing frames, corner sheets, balancing boards, dark room, different types of lights, full bags for sitting, different types of zin balls and others.
