Chennai Police help boy with Down’s syndrome live his dream
Chennai police enabled a 19-year-old with Down’s syndrome live his dream for a day.
Stevin Mathew is very happy as his wish to be a policeman came true.
Stevin is currently studying in a special school called HOPE in Qatar that is run by his parents and had come to Chennai for vacations.
Stevin’s father wrote an email to the Chennai police commissioner about his wish. The police department responded and also got a police uniform stitched for Stevin.
Wearing his uniform, Stevin went on rounds in the police patrol vehicle along with police constables and his parents. He had always wanted to be a police officer.
Stevin holds a Diploma in Computer Applications.
