Researchers develop app to help manage mental illness
Researchers in the US have developed a new smartphone app to help manage mental illness and other health problems for middle-aged and older adults.
The app provides 10 sessions to patients for a period of about three months.
The app covers topics such as stress, illness, medicines, substance and medical overuse.
The study was done on 10 participants of age above 55 years who suffered from serious mental illness and other long-term health problems.
It found that the app helps the patients to discuss their mental health problems with the physicians or doctors and get medicines and instructions when required.
