Working a lot is not good for health, says study
A new study says that employees who work for long hours are at an increased risk of heart failure, dementia and suffering a stroke.
The study compared employees who worked 35 to 40 hours a week with those who worked for more than 55 hours.
The research found that people who work harder are more likely to suffer from dangerous irregular heartbeat. So, it is important for employees or workers to have a work-life balance.
Work-life balance means the division of one’s time and focus between job (career and aim in life) and family, fun activities, health and spiritual development or meditation.
