Snapchat to introduce original scripted shows
Photo-sharing app Snapchat is likely to launch original scripted content through its shows by the end of this year, says a report.
The company plans to create short scripted Snapchat series that will be of three to five minutes duration.
Earlier in 2015, the company had introduced an original scripted show that was of nine episodes of around five minutes.
Right now, the company is depending on its partners to provide financial support to video content instead of producing the show on its own.
The idea is to connect and engage with young users who consume mobile data more than other users.
