BSNL to soon introduce 4G services with VoLTE, says report
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited – BSNL plans to introduce 4G mobile services in India soon and will start VoLTE in the financial year 2017-18, says a report.
VoLTE is Voice over Long-Term Evolution that provides high-speed wireless communication for mobile phones and data networks. A VoLTE mobile phone can manage calling and other data-based activities at the same time.
The telecom company expects to get the government’s approval soon for offering 4G services, and 5G services in the future.
The company is also investing Rs 100 crore to have a broadband network with a safe cyber-security setup.
In an attempt to compete with Reliance Jio, BSNL has been trying hard to lower its data and calling offers and launch new services.
