Disabled children were the real showstoppers at this Delhi fashion event

The real celebrities at the 'Infinite Opportunity' fashion show organised by NGO Tamana and Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) recently at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Delhi, were the disabled children who walked in garments by India's leading designers.

The fashion show displayed the collections by designer Abraham & Thakore, Anju Modi, Gaurav Jai Gupta, Payal Jain, Amit Aggarwal, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Payal Pratap Singh and Sanjay Garg.

The show began with the design collections of the students of Pearl Academy Fashion Laboratory in partnership with the inmates of Jail no. 6 at Tihar Jail, who are at present registered in the fashion program.

The models for these collections were none other than the disabled children of the NGO, who walked with confidence in front of a large crowd and photographers.

The music was presented by visually impaired singer, Diwakar Sharma who engaged the audience with his version of popular Bollywood songs.

The idea of organising the Tamana fashion show is to develop greater confidence and respect into the lives of the disabled people and show that the disabled are not lesser but more than anyone in the society.
