Parents & grandparents can live longer, says study

A new study has found that parents and grandparents can live longer if they take long walks and eat better-quality diet.

The study done in the US indicates that a healthy lifestyle may help older people with an average age of 73 live longer with a healthy life.

The research team studied more than five thousand old adults at an average age of 73 for 25 years. With age, people lose their physical strength and can also become disabled.

It was found that many lifestyle factors were linked with years of life and years of able life.

Obesity was found to cause lengthy disabled period. Smoking is linked with a shorter life and fewer years of able life.
