Students of Mumbai University say staff is unaware of Learning Disability

The help desk staff of the University of Mumbai have no idea what is the meaning of the term ‘Learning Disability’ – LD.

Naturally they are also unaware that students with LD are eligible for 20 grace marks according to an order passed by the Bombay high court.

The rule, when passed, stated that a LD student was to be awarded 20% of the subject’s marks.

However, now the LD students are being told that they are only eligible for 3% of the semester’s total marks as grace marks.

They were not informed about the rule change and that is now affecting their final result scores.
