ATMs may take three months to provide Rs 200 notes, says report
The recently launched Rs 200 bank note by the Reserve Bank of India may take up to three months to reach ATMs and be available to the common people, says report.
Though the ATM companies have not yet got the supplies of the new currency, some banks have even asked the ATMs to start testing the new note unofficially, since it is of a different size from the existing notes.
It is yet to be seen if all the 2.25 lakh ATM machines across the country will be able to check the machines for distributing the new bank notes.
For now, the Rs 200 note is being printed only by RBI presses and are available only through some RBI offices and some banks.
