School for deaf and mute in Jammu to be repaired
The J&K Government has provided a special grant of Rs 20 lakh for renovation of the Higher Secondary School for deaf and mute in Jammu.
Two little students of the school inaugurated the work in a simple ceremony. J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra is the NGO that manages the school.
The school provides free of cost education up to Higher Secondary level to deaf and mute students.
The repair project will include the construction of a recreational room to provide entertainment facilities to the students. The school will also get a safe electrical system with underground fittings. The class rooms will be properly titled.
The school will soon get its own website as well.
