Here's how to transfer your SBI savings account from one branch to another

The largest public sector bank of the country, State Bank of India (SBI) has introduced a simple way of transferring bank accounts from one branch to another.

Here are some steps to help you transfer your savings account from one branch to another.

*Login to with your ID and password.

*Click on the ‘e-services’ tab on the homepage.

*The ‘e-services’ page will open. Under the ‘Quick Links’ tab on the left of the 'e-services' page, select ‘Transfer of Savings Account’.

*You will get a page that will show all your accounts. Select the account you want to transfer.

*Enter the branch code where you want to transfer your account. Once the branch code is found, the branch name will be updated.

*Read the terms and conditions and choose ‘Confirm’.

*A page will open up, showing the details of the account you selected, the branch code and the branch name. Verify and select ‘Confirm’.

*You will receive a one time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number.

*Enter the OTP and choose ‘Confirm’.

*A green page will come up, showing you the transfer details including the account number, the branch you are transferring from and the branch you are transferring to. This shows that the transfer request has been successfully registered.
