Sensex closes 194 points up, Nifty settles above 10,000
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty were trading up on Monday due to positive Asian market conditions. Investors in Asia were relieved after North Korea did not conduct another missile test this weekend, when it celebrated its founding anniversary.
The BSE Sensex closed 194.64 points up at 31,882.16 while the NSE Nifty closed 71.25 points up at 10,006.05.
The top three Sensex gainers were LT (+3.80%), Asian Paint (+2.84%) and Maruti (+2.41%).
The top three Sensex losers were M&M (-1.10%), Infosys (-0.66%) and Sun Pharma (-0.51%).
The top three Nifty gainers were IndusInd Bank (+5.55%), Tata Power (+5.06%) and GAIL (+3.80%).
The top three Nifty losers were Indiabulls Housing Finance (-1.01%), M&M (-0.99%) and TCS (-0.63%).
