Airtel may introduce low cost 4G smartphone around Diwali
India's largest telecom company Bharti Airtel is in talks with many handset makers to bring a 4G smartphone for a price as low as Rs 2,500-2,700 to compete with Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio.
It is reported that Airtel is planning to release a new 4G smartphone around Diwali, which is in the month of October.
The smartphone will have Airtel's 4G connection, data and voice plan to attract more customers. As per reports, the Android handset will come with 1 GB RAM.
The planned dual SIM 4G smartphone will have a four-inch display, dual camera, VoLTE calling and a longer battery life.
