Disabled-friendly theme float wins Onam parade contest in Thiruvananthapuram

In the recent Onam parade held in Thiruvananthapuram, the float of the Department of Museums and Zoos has bagged the first prize.

The float was designed with the theme of disabled-friendly zoos and museums. The float carried a model that showed a zoo that can be visited by people with disabilities.

The second prize went to Information and Public Relations Department that showed the wealth, prosperity, and peace found in the state of Kerala.

The water conservation theme of the district panchayat won the third position.

Various government department floats had taken part in the event that marked the last day of week-long Onam celebrations in the city.
