Patanjali accused of giving expired products during Assam flood relief

Patanjali, the food and Ayurvedic Products Company has been accused of distributing expired products as part of relief work in floods in Assam.

It has been reported that the Patanjali milk powder and juice packets that were given to flood affected people in Assam had crossed their expiry date and were old.

Local TV channels showed people accusing Patanjali of giving out old products with expiry dates of last year.

The administration has started an inquiry in the matter.

Patanjali has denied the allegation and said that the company does not control the transport and distribution of products and is not responsible.
